Important HouseCheck displays historical sold price data from HM Land Registry. It is not a valuation service and does not provide financial or legal advice. Do not rely on this data alone when making property decisions.

About the service

HouseCheck is a free tool that lets you search historical house sold prices at street level in England and Wales, using data published by HM Land Registry. The service is provided for informational purposes only.

Data accuracy and limitations

All price data is sourced from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We make no guarantee that data is complete, current, or error-free. In particular:

Prices shown are historical sold prices, not current market values
Data covers England and Wales only — Scotland and Northern Ireland are not included
Recent transactions may not yet appear due to registration delays
Some sales are excluded from Land Registry data (e.g. certain new builds, right-to-buy)

HM Land Registry is not responsible for the accuracy of this site or any use made of its data.

The HouseCheck name, design, and code are our property. House price data is published by HM Land Registry under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and remains the property of the Crown.
